In the first years of our creative life, the members of the company did not aspire to solo roles. Most wanted to sing only in the choruses. So when choosing a work for the next production, attention went first of all not to the number of leading roles but to the number of choruses.

That is how the idea arose, in the break between "difficult" opera productions, of simply getting together and singing choruses. Standing. Motionless. With the music in front of our eyes. The idea was received with enthusiasm. One evening brought together choruses from works by different composers, from Handel to Rivkin. There was no single theme; all the choruses were simply beautiful, interesting, and a joy to sing. And so that the audience would be entertained too, beautiful photographs, kindly provided by friends and members of the Theatre, were sometimes projected onto the back wall, and during the Pilgrims' Chorus from "Tannhäuser" — even video!
